FM54 Air-Purifying Respirator

The Avon Protection fire-hardened FM54 Air-Purifying Respirator gives specialist operators maximum protection and total flexibility, shielding the face, eyes and respiratory tract from Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) threats, riot agents, toxic industrial chemicals (TICs) and toxic industrial materials (TIMs). It functions in both negative and positive pressure modes (APR, SCBA, CCBA and PAPR), and a ruggedized lever on the Variable Resistance Exhalation Unit (VREU) switches modes without removing the optional VPU or losing protection. It is ideally suited to special response teams, law enforcement, bomb squads, first responders, SWAT/ERT teams and civil support teams.
