40MM Irritant Munitions

The Combined Systems 40MM Irritant Munitions line launches single projectile and multi-submunition rounds that emit smoke or irritant agents via rapid burning, plus spin-stabilized liquid and powder barricade rounds that penetrate intermediate barriers and deliver agent into an adjacent room. Long-range outdoor smoke rounds are available in white and colored (red, yellow, green) and are used at safe stand-off distances to disperse groups or deny areas during riots and civil disorder. Barricade rounds perform best when impacting at 90 degrees perpendicular to the barrier, defeating targets such as single-pane windows, vehicle windows and hollow-core doors. Effective range is dependent on environmental factors, especially wind.
