The #897 rides high and tight to the body on a belt slide platform, keeping the pistol close for concealment under light cover. A tension screw lets the wearer dial retention from a firm hold for active duty to an easier draw for range or plainclothes work — the same holster, adjusted to the assignment. Top-grain leather construction fits belts up to 1.75 in. and is offered in right- or left-hand.
