DMFS Detachable Modular Flotation System

The DMFS consists of independent left and right units mounted on a carrier platform via a fabric wrap-around design secured by hook-and-loop, with MOLLE or ALICE attachment for easy donning and doffing in the field. Each unit's flotation bladder can be quickly detached and replaced for re-arming or general replacement. A manually actuated 38-gram CO2 cartridge with beaded pull-handles provides primary inflation; an oral inflation tube provides secondary. Flotation lift capability is calculated at 48 lb at the surface.
